He served Ananda in many ways as a student, head prefect, teacher, warden, Vice Pricipal and finally as Principal. During his term of office the school expanded physically to accommodate the increasing school population. Science, Commerce and Arts departments were set up. The Kularatne Hallis a monument to honour him and he fulfilled the inadequacy of providing a play-ground.
